I grew up in what might be called the stone age, and there are a few things remember that seem to have been, well, maybe lost. I learned the Ten Commandments. We seem to have forgotten a few of them, and we seem to trample on a few others because it is inconvenient. We have political correctness as our guide and those who we call secularists who want to provide our guidance. We torture and kill that which twitches in a woman's womb, and slide down the slippery slope to killing the child upon taking the first breath. We push God out of our government hallways because we don't like the idea that our founders were motivated by, and guided by the Christianity that is now viewed as out of date. We can't say "no" because of some people's precious psyche. We choose not to look at our government's taxing as steeling, but view it as being charitable to those who seem to gather at the palace gate waiting for their part of the "stash". While I am not the best example of holiness, I look at those who we have elected to lead us, and am shocked at their inability to face up to their duties of leadership, then choose to lie. When the lies are told often enough, we somehow accept them as truth. We are told by some in our media that lying is good. I guess I am just old fashioned, and maybe I just need some medication to ease my slide into senility. I swore I would not become cynical in my old age, but I AM CYNICAL!
